ECITB’s Engineering qualifications are based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) of a particular sector of industry. NOS are developed by employers and professional bodies in conjunction with the Standard Setting Body and describe what is meant by occupational competence within a particular job role.
By working with industry, ECITB engineering qualifications are valued by employers because they offer development opportunities to staff across a wide range of engineering construction roles.
Our qualifications enable learners to demonstrate the specific skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to perform a particular role as set out by the National Occupational Standards (NOS).
